This week's been pretty busy.  Fruitfully busy, that is.

I had coffee with Ryn (thks for the coffee babe!), jumped back on bible study with Michelle, went cycling and dinnering with Yujia and Miao, and caught the Harry Potter preview the same night with my sec sch darlings.  And on Saturday night, i caught the Dim Sum Dollies with Junhan's sister, tickets courtesy of Junhan's brother!

Cycling

Cycling with Miao and Yujia was really fun, for the first time in my life i cycled to the end of East Coast! By "end of East Coast" i mean i cycled right up to the Safra/SAF (whichever one) chalet... and it was a really nice workout on the legs.

That must have been a fishing harvest day, whilst we were on Bedok Jetty, almost everyone who was fishing caught lots of small fish!  One guy even caught a SWORDFISH! A live, real one! i was cycling out of Bedok Jetty when i spotted the fish and started squealing my head off, attracting stares around me.

not that i cared lar.  my first time seeing live swordfish can? (for pics jump over to Miao's blog, she caught the fish on camera!)

We then wound down the evening with dinner by East Coast, in a HK restaurant.  Food was ok, and price for a bowl of white rice was atrocious.  SGD 1 for a bowl of rice? and its not as if they were using humongous bowls or what.  Anyway i think the company mattered more lar, haha.  Usually its company over food for me, i don't really care what i eat.  The durian pudding was surprising good though.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Movie

Then on the same night, i rushed back to shower and change, and bustled out of the house after that to catch "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" preview with Marie, Fen, Chris and Can!

The movie was, in Marie's words, "chopped until left 1/3 of the book". Its true! And they altered so many things, i got quite indignant halfway through the show.  It was more like a David Yates Harry Potter rather than J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter!

I guess the movie is ok as a movie, but true diehard HP fans wouldn't really enjoy it.

Dim Sum Dollies and The History of Singapore

Was simply hilarious!

It was more like a dig at the gahmen, what with the jokes on the pay rise, and on taxis always on call, on our founding father (they squeezed the surname in every adverb they could use in the song! hahahaha), and even the CEO of Temasek.

I'm not gonna let on more, partly because i don't wanna spoil it for people going for the show, and partly because i have to runnnnnn!! meeting my baby for Sushi Tei lunch!

A big big big thank you to Junhan, who let me go to the show in his place, and to Junyi, for paying for the ticket, and to Xingyi, for the company!

A truly, truly enjoyable week indeed! :DDDDDD
